Kalief L. Metellus Educational Opportunity Scholarship
Background
The Kalief L. Metellus Educational Opportunity Scholarship is intended to recognize a SUNY Old Westbury Educational Opportunity Program student who demonstrates academic persistence, meaningful engagement with the EOP community, and continued progress toward degree completion.
As a SUNY Old Westbury alumnus and EOP graduate, Kalief Metellus' college journey was strengthened by the access, mentorship, support, and opportunity provided through EOP. This scholarship is intended to extend that legacy by supporting future EOP students as they persist toward graduation and pursue their educational and career goals.

EOP Review and Approval
Because this scholarship is specifically designated for an EOP student, the proposed recipient would also be reviewed by the SUNY Old Westbury EOP Office and approved for awarding before the scholarship is finalized and disbursed.
