Metellus Leadership, Service & Impact Scholarship
Background
The Metellus Leadership, Service & Impact Scholarship is intended to recognize a student who combines strong academic performance with meaningful leadership, service, advocacy, mentoring, civic engagement, or contributions to the SUNY Old Westbury community.
Leadership and service were central to Kalief Metellus' experience at SUNY Old Westbury, including serving two terms as Student Government Association President and advocating for the campus community. This scholarship is intended to recognize students who use leadership not simply as a title, but as a means of serving others, creating meaningful change, and leaving the Old Westbury community stronger.
